2019 ILX Projects Programme underway
Phab’s very special Inclusive Living Experience Residential Projects programme for 2019 is now underway, starting with our Family Project in May. This year 133 children and young people aged 8 to 25 will be coming along to six exciting and challenging ILX Projects, supported by 114 Phab volunteers and carers. And there will also be a special Jubilee Sailing Trust voyage for another four.
Children and young people with often complex disabilities will be joined by a small number who are disadvantaged in some way, perhaps having experienced neglect, bullying or bereavement, and siblings of those attending. Together they will have a great time enjoying all sort of activities at two fully accessible outdoor activity centres in the New Forest and the Lake District – with canoeing, caving, zip wire, archery, pool, climbing wall, arts and crafts, visits to the seaside and much more. And all the time building their confidence, self-belief and independence as they take on the different activities and achieve more than they ever thought possible.
And this year our New Transition Plus Project for 18 to 25 year olds means that even more young people can join us, building their skills and independence as they leave full time education and prepare for their future lives.
