42nd Westminster School Phab Week
In July Westminster School held its much anticipated annual Phab Week. 40 lower sixth students along with teachers, catering and nursing staff gave up the first week of their Summer break to open the school and welcome 38 very special guests.
The theme for the week was phabusaurus – with of course a dinosaur theme – and their busy schedule included music, drama, photography, design and technology, coding and dance. (Photographs below.)
And this year it was Westminster’s 42nd Phab Week!
Phab is immensely proud of its link with Westminster School over so many years and of the young people and staff who give so much of their time preparing for and absolutely delivering a wonderful time for their guests.
This year we have also seen similar and hugely enjoyable Phab weeks or weekends at other schools - at Aldenham School, now in year two of this new experience for their students, and at Merchant Taylors’ and St. Helen’s Schools who not only deliver their longstanding Phab Week together each year but have now set up a regular weekly Phab Club!
And some of these young people are taking their Phab experience on to University with them and have set up Phab Clubs at Nottingham, Warwick, Birmingham and Bristol or support local Phab Clubs (as at Reading University). Together they are making a real and lasting difference to so many people with disabilities and to their families too.
