Intrepid cyclists raise funds for Phab
A great team of determined cyclists raised funds for Phab in August, taking part in the gruelling Prudential RideLondon-Surrey 100 2019.
The weather was just right this year, with the 100-mile event starting at Queen Elizabeth Park and finishing at the Mall. And Janine Williams, Phab’s Challenge Events Manager, said how lovely it was to see so many of our Riders in Green Park afterwards where they received a warm welcome and thanks for their tireless efforts.
Particular mention has to go to Steve Turner who not only cycled 100 miles in 4 hours, 33 minutes and 52 seconds but then got the train to cycle a further 19 miles with his son Luke who was cycling for the first time in the new 19-mile event. Here they are pictured above proudly showing off their medals and not looking the least bit tired! Afterwards Steve said, “Thank you for all the support as always – proud to wear the Phab jersey!”.
And we are proud too of all our cyclists and the huge effort they make to train for and take part in this unique event. Roll on next year!
And here are some of those other cyclists:
