"Our volunteers are what make Phab special"
Phab has over 150 Phab Clubs across England and Wales, set up and run by local volunteers. If you would like to join them, you will be making a real difference to the lives of children, young people and adults with disabilities and to their families too, right in your own community.
Phab members and volunteers, both with and without disabilities, carry out all sorts of volunteering roles to help run their Club and to match their own interests, talents and available time. This could be helping to run the tuck shop or raffle, fundraising, promoting the club to new members and volunteers, planning Club events or trips out, or being on the organising committee as a Trustee, Treasurer or Club Leader.
Seeing the children having such a lovely time on Club night just makes me smile!
I get such a sense of achievement from volunteering at Phab.
We have such fun at our Phab Club and I really enjoy supporting the members.
Volunteering at the Phab Club has made such a difference to my life.
If there isn’t a Phab Club near you but you think there is a need for one, why not get in touch with us to talk about that and how we can help you to achieve that goal. Call our Head Office at 020 8667 9443 or your local Regional Officer.
Or if you are at University or heading that way, why not join the very special group of students who now host or support a Phab Club at their own University. This includes Phab Clubs set up at Nottingham, Warwick, Birmingham, and Bristol, with another group of students at Reading supporting local Phab Clubs in the town. To get a copy of our University Phab Pack or find out more, call Janine Williams on 01825 749826 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
And each year we have a very special Volunteer Awards Event held at the House of Lords to acknowledge the contribution of particular volunteers across all aspects of our work at Phab.
